How calls are handled.
Plain answers about what happens to a call, and what's kept. Our privacy notice and terms have the formal detail.
Callers always know it's an AI
AIRIS says "This is the AI assistant" in its first sentence on every call. AIRIS can mishear, miss details or misjudge urgency. It isn't an emergency service and doesn't promise a response time.
Work calls
AIRIS keeps the caller's number, name, what the job is, where it is and how urgent it sounds, plus the words the caller said, as text. The owner sees this in their portal and gets a text. AIRIS doesn't keep a recording of the call.
Personal calls
AIRIS asks for no job details and keeps only who rang, when, their message and a number if they gave one. AIRIS doesn't keep the words of the call itself. Messages are held apart from jobs, are deleted after 30 days, and the owner can delete them sooner. The text to the owner says only that there's a private message, or that one can't wait.
The talk-to-me demo on this website
Your voice goes to our voice provider to run the conversation. AIRIS doesn't keep what you say. We keep a count of demo calls and a one-way code made from your internet address, so the free calls can be limited. It changes daily.
Who helps run this
- Phonic: live voice conversation. Phonic processes the audio and words of each call, and may keep them for a period under its own terms.
- Twilio: telephone lines and text messages
- Google Cloud: hosting and database
- Stripe: payments, if you subscribe
